Hot Buns and Thunder Balls
Hotel Vagabond gets a restaurant that serves up Asian inspired burgers.
Located within Hotel Vagabond and designed by famed architect Jacques Garcia, the restaurant is decked out in Parisian-inspired opulence and adopts a maximalist design ethos with unique art pieces on the walls, lots of rich textures like colorful wallpapers and velvet plush cushions that oozes sophistication.
They serve up tantalizing burgers with a Singaporean twist, such as their Chilli Crack Burger ($24), an homage to Singapore’s national dish, chilli crab; Wagyu Satay Burger ($28), 180 grams of wagyu rump that has been grilled over charcoal (according to your preference) and doused with a rich traditional peanut sauce and McDreamy Bombay Style ($17), a paneer burger that is worthy enough to be compared to former Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob Doctor Shepherd. A good meal always ends on a sweet note, and their Thunder Balls ($10) does the trick with flavors like gula melaka, raspberry coulis and white chocolate lave, served alongside ice-cream of your choice, Tahitian vanilla and Nutella hazelnut.
