Catch Thailand’s The Promise two weeks before it hits cinemas

This time of the year might be film festival season, but it’s also the season of scares. If you're into killing two birds with one stone, head to Golden Village this weekend for their first ever Horror Film Festival, showcasing a chilling line-up of the region’s best new horror films.

Kicking off the festival on Oct 27 is one of Southeast Asia’s most anticipated horror flicks—Thailand’s The Promise, which revolves around a friendship death pact made atop the Bangkok Sathorn Unique Tower, the infamous abandoned monument of economic failure also known as Ghost Tower. The highest grossing horror movie in Thailand this year, the film will only hit Singapore cinemas island-wide on Nov 16, so the festival is your chance to preview it two weeks in advance.

Following that there’s The Autopsy of Jane Doe (English), The Bride (Mandarin), Dearest Sister (Laos) and The Evil Within (English), happening from opening night till Halloween itself. Tickets are priced at $10 for GV members and $13 for public, and the film festival will take place alternately at GV Plaza and GV Yishun.
