For anyone who enjoys noods

Settle down, ramen lovers. After last year's successful debut, which saw about 30,000 participants, Ramen Revolution is back next month, holding the large-scale outdoor event once again at Resorts World Sentosa on Jul 27-29.

The organizers have promised to bring back all the same elements that made last year’s edition so successful. However, the biggest difference is that the prices won't be same; so no more $10 nett bowls of ramen. Nonetheless, it shouldn’t be a deterrent, seeing how there’s a bigger variety, limited edition items and more participating Japanese establishments than last year. Highlights include Men Men Tei's Jiro style aburi chashu ramen, Kanshoku Ramen's truffle ramen, Ramen Bar Suzuki's extreme black tonkotsu ramen, Ebi-Tori Menzo's shio chicken ramen, and many others, which will be priced from $10 and up. Similar to last year, they’re flying in two restaurants from Japan: Junk Story from Osaka will be whipping up their award-winning Kiramekino Shiosoba while Men Dokoro Wakamusha from Saitama brings their famed Tori Paiten Ramen, both a Singapore-first.

Other activities include a speed-eating competition, a special showcase by 30-year-old Singaporean competitive eater Zermatt Neo, and live performances. Full details here.
