Opened in 1986, you could say that Shashlik's hearty Russian fare has withstood the test of time. The waiters, in their starched white jackets, are as old as the restaurant itself, but boy can they pour a mean drink. We also love the old-fashioned service—you know, food served from trolleys, gravy poured from gravy trains and the like. We recommend going for the succulent Shashlik Beef Fillet, Borscht, Chicken Kiev and Baked Alaska. Reservations are a must here.
Looks like your Amazon shopping dreams will have to be put on hold.
More live concerts, a bunch of food-centric festivals and a massive block party to look forward to this month.
Don’t forget to bring tissues.
