What's better than having burger and beers by a row of yachts under Singapore's glorious golden sun? Accompanied by great views and the sea breeze, this laid-back New York-style delicatessen Schmear serves bagels and breads by day, and Philly cheesesteaks by night. The cozy space by the pier is pretty laid-back, as with most restaurants found near docks. While Singapore isn't really known for bagels, the native New Yorkers behind Schmear promise to bring the "real deal" to our shores.

The bagels are hand-rolled and baked fresh daily, and options are aplenty. You can have them plain ($3), or with a choice of spreads ($6) like cream cheese, chipotle avocado and jalapeno cheddar. They also have bagel sandwiches like the New Yorker, which sees two fried eggs and melted cheese on a bagle of your choice ($8) and The Central Park, which consists of a generous spread of scallion cream cheese and a liberal helping of smoked salmon, sprinkled with capers. Otherwise, there's the tomato sauce covered pizza bagel ($8), which comes with your choice of cheese and toppings (each topping is priced at $1.50-3).

But if bagels on its own just doesn't cut it for you, you can get sumptuous breakfast sets that are served until 3pm, like the American Breakfast, a giant bagel served with two eggs, bacon, fruits and breakfast potatoes ($14); or a classic pancake set topped with maple syrup and butter ($16; you can also add blueberries, strawberries and chocolate chips for an additional $4).

If you're out for something a little more filling, there's also the Philly cheesesteak with melted cheddar and pepper jack ($18) and the mouthwatering Miss Saigon burger, which sees pulled pork in homemade BBQ sauce, Vietnamese pickles, mint and corriander all stacked between a choice of farmers bread, rye bread, bagel or hero roll ($16).

While healthier choices like Avo-coco smoothie (avocado, spinach, coconut and honey, $9) and ABCC fruit juice (the last ''C' stands for celery, $8) are available, you might want to check out their craft beers menu, which gets updated pretty regularly. They have a bit of everything, but ales and IPAs make up the main bulk of the list of choices, which include Lost Coast Downtown Brown, Coronado Islander IPA, Moon Dog Love Tap and more. A bottle costs $13 while a bucket of five is $55.
