Run by the same two guys behind the successful Project Shop Café in Paragon, PS Café is positioned much in the same vein as its predecessor: Stylish, sophisticated and a place to be seen.
PS Café is located in the fashionable off-the-beaten-track Dempsey Road area, just by a cluster of warehouses. Once you step into the café, the quiet of the outdoors gives way to a buzz generated by the well dressed in-crowd of models, and media and fashion types chatting and blowing air kisses.
A lounge with comfy sofas is separated from the main dining area by a drinks and dessert counter; giant blackboards list the day’s specials and desserts; and every piece of furniture and decoration says “urban chic.” Regular patrons of the Paragon café will recognize the menu—it comprises the same top quality modern fusion cuisine that made Project Shop Café famous.
Our goat’s cheese and sun dried tomato wantons on black lentil puree were fantastic, as were our mains veal and bacon moussaka, and grilled yellow tail tuna on a bed of salad and sweet potato chips. Dessert options include puddings, pies and crumbles—we opted for Project Shop Café’s famous banana and mango crumble. It was absolutely delicious, with rich vanilla ice cream on the side.
Host and proprietor Kevin knows everyone in the house, and is charming to those he is meeting for the first time.
Come here to be part of the scene, feel cool and eat great food—we will be.
Who needs breakfast or lunch? Brunch is the meal du jour. These are our favorite places to have brunch in Singapore.
Free-flow is our new favorite word.
You might even walk away with a weekend staycay.
For those who will travel for food.
