Japan Gourmet Hall Sora
Terminal 2's Japanese food hall for sashimi, tendon and more
The prime attraction at Changi Airport Terminal 2, Sora is a Japanese gourmet food hall opened by Japanese airline company ANA Trading, and located within the public dining area in the terminal. At 7,760 sq ft, the food hall seats 300 diners and is the largest restaurant across all four terminals.
Designed to look like an airline lounge, Sora, which means "sky" in Japanese, houses six Japanese restaurant brands to take care of all your Nippon-inspired cravings. There’s the famed Tendon Kohaku, for bowls of crisp tempura on rice in tendon sauce; Kuro Maguro supplies the mandatory sashimi, tuna and seafood rice dishes, air-flown daily from Japan; Menya Takeichi will satisfy ramen cravings with collagen-rich chicken broths; and Tokyo Sundubu, Japan’s largest restaurant chain serving up hearty Korean stew. Two new-to-market brands—Japoli Kitchen, for Japanese-Italian fusion pizzas and pastas like the Mentaiko Pizza, and renowned okonomiyaki chain Tsuruhashi Fugestsu—complete the mix.
For something lighter, the Sora Bar offers desserts such as Hokkaido milk ice cream, as well as sake and cocktails like the Singapore Sling. Order from any of the stalls and grab a seat at the comfy booths or tatami seating options, which come conveniently with charging points for mobile devices.
