SINGAPORE RESTAURANT

Hot Buns and Thunder Balls

Hotel Vagabond gets a restaurant that serves up Asian inspired burgers.

Located within Hotel Vagabond, designed by famed architect Jacques Garcia, the space is decked out in Parisian-inspired opulent and maximalist design such as the unique art pieces on the walls, lots of rich textures like colorful wallpapers and velvet plush cushions that oozes sophistication.

They serve up tantalizing burgers with a Singaporean twist, such as their Chili Crack Burger ($24), a homage to Singapore’s national dish, chili crab; Wagyu Satay Burger ($28), 180 grams of wagyu rump that has been grilled over charcoal (according to your preference) and doused with a rich traditional peanut sauce and McDreamy Bombay Style ($17), a paneer burger that is worthy enough to be compared to former Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob Doctor Shepherd. A good meal always ends on a sweet note, and their Thunder Balls ($10) does the trick with flavors like gula melaka, raspberry coulis and white chocolate lave, served alongside ice-cream of your choice, Tahitian vanilla and Nutella hazelnut.
