Godiva Chocolatier Cafe
Southeast Asia's first Godiva Chocolatier concept cafe opens in ION Orchard
At some point in your life, you’ve probably walked past luxury Belgian chocolate brand Godiva Chocolatier’s now-defunct little corner store in CityLink Mall, or had even bought some chocolates there for a special someone in your life. But much has happened since then—they’ve opened up eight other stores around the island, including a sexy-looking lifestyle concept cafe, the first in Southeast Asia.
Located in the basement of ION Orchard, the 140 square meter cafe adopts the design ethos of the brand’s signature gold, white and dark colours for its interior. The concept is nothing new in Singapore—Plentyfull has a selection of preservative-free products just outside of the restaurant section, while Muji's Cafe&Meal provides a respite from all that shopping from the store that’s right next door—but still cool nontheless.
At this Godiva outlet, you’ll actually be able to dine-in and enjoy Singapore-exclusive sweets such as the Belgium waffles ($14) and the super indulgent chocolate fondant ($14), as well as the crowd-pleasing Chocolixirs ($9) and a variety of velvety soft serves ($9).
You should also look out for their chocolate cakes and sinful chocolate fondue sets (made using melted Godiva carre chocolates, $45), which come with a choice of fruits, macarons and marshmallows.
