New York's top chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten has made his first foray into Southeast Asia with the opening of The Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar, housed alongside other renowned establishments like Candlenut, Ippoh Tempura Bar and Como Cuisine at the fancy COMO Dempsey enclave.

Signatures include the egg caviar ($38), made from a combination of meyer lemon gelee caviar and creme fraiche, as well as black truffle and fontina pizza ($24). Other menu items such as the roasted cod with broccoli rabe and spicy herbal coconut broth ($30) and grass-fed beef tenderloin with white asparagus and habanero hot sauce ($38) also showcases the restaurant's culinary direction. Then end your meal on a sweet note with Baked Alaska, a passion fruit and coconut creation ($13) or with the chocolate cake malted ganache with toasted marshmellow meringue ($13).

On the drinks front, Asian-inspired cocktails and dessert wines like the Torbreck The Bothie 2013 ($23) and Chateau Roumieu Haut-Placey Sauternes 2009 ($18) fill the list.
