Singapore's first Michelin Guide may be making its debut on Jul 21, but giving us a peek of what's to come is the Bib Gourmand awards, which features 34 eateries, out of which 17 are hawker stalls located in popular food centers around Singapore.

The Bib Gourmand awards highlights restaurants that serve quality food under $45, and on the list are household names such as Tian Tian Chicken Rice (Maxwell Food Centre), 328 Katong Laksa (East Coast Road), Song Fa Bak Kut Teh (New Bridge Road) and Claypot Laksa (Alexandra Village Food Centre). Amoy Street Food Centre had the most number of stalls awarded—A Noodle Story, Famous Crispy Curry Puff, Hong Kee Beef Noodle and Hoo Kee Rice Dumpling were featured alongside names from Tiong Bahru Market, Golden Mile Food Centre, Hong Lim Market & Food Centre, 115 Bukit Merah View Market & Food Centre, 127 Toa Payoh West M&F Centre, Mei Ling Market & Food Centre, Newton Food Centre and Whampoa Market Place
