We’re already heading into the first weekend of March. Gear up for an unadulterated three days of fun with events like the return of two popular festivals, an underground party at the former grounds of the now defunct dbl O, the second edition of Human Library, and much more.

FESTIVAL
Sustainable light installation fest i Light Marina Bay is back to light up the waterfront and our Instagram feeds for the fifth year in a row with massive, dazzling displays by design studios from around the region and the world. And that's not all, the festival is also known for its festival village, market, food options and other fun activities. Mar 3-5

CONCERT
After four years, Explosions In The Sky is back in Singapore to promote their latest album, The Wilderness, at The Coliseum. But before they hit the stage, psychedelic rock band, Unknown Mortal Orchestra (their last performance was at Laneway 2014) will be opening the show. Mar 3

PARTY
The great minds behind Headquarters are back for their second installment of Plastik Dreams, this time featuring dark, thumping techno beats of Venezuelan duo Fur Coat at the former dbl O nightclub on Queen Street. Mar 3

Prolific Burmese artist Htein Lin dives into his past as a political prisoner who was put behind bars for his pro-democracy beliefs at his exhibition, Recovering the Past. Through Mar 5

THEATER
The 14 year-old script for Prism, first conceptualized in 2003, is now being restaged by Toy Factory Productions. The story explores the struggles of an urban development officer Aman, who has to break the news to the residents of the oldest city heritage, all the while questioning the purpose of new cityscapes. EXHIBITION
More than 30 local and international artists and designers will be showcasing their work of objects made from dismantled existing toys at Kult’s new show, Choking Hazard: An Exhibition about Toys, which explores the controversial issues that’s linked to the world of toys like mass production, consumerism and gender. MARKET

Claire McFarlane, survivor of a brutal rape incident in Paris, began her journey to run 3000km on the beach across 184 countries for her cause. This time round, she will be joined by members of a body movement campaign Rock The Naked Truth at East Coast Angsana Green, for a 16km run.
