When the line-up first dropped for Australia last month, fans here were losing their minds at the prospect of possibly seeing some of the best current and upcoming acts in the business today. Now get ready for the eighth edition of St. Jerome's Laneway Festival happening at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay on Jan 27 next year.

We'll be seeing a couple of Laneway alums this year. Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and “self-proclaimed king of slacker-rock” Mac DeMarco—who was here at the 2015 edition that also saw the likes of FKA twigs, Royal Blood and Pond—will be back, this time armed with a fifth studio album which was just released five months ago; along with the Grammy nominated soul and trip hop Californian outfit, The Internet, who won the crowds over last year.

English shoegaze legends Slowdive, who played a headlining show after reuniting in 2014, will also be returning to Singapore. Earlier this year, they made a strong comeback with their highly anticipated self-titled fourth record—their first in 22 years—to raving reviews from the media and fans alike.

We'll also be seeing some great favorites who are no strangers to their respective scenes, such as singer-songwriter (and former drummer for Fleet Foxes) Father John Misty, indie pop duo Sylvan Esso (you should check out their super cute second record, What Now), British electronic producer Bonobo, Grammy nominated rapper and singer-songwriter Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, and more.

Now all that's left to do is to secure tickets, which will be available from Oct 5 via Apac Tix at $125 (early bird tickets only until the end of October). Standard tickets thereafter will be $158 a pop. More info here.
