Like many others, you've probably been biting your nails over what the new overtly liberal use of the color red in Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi's usually yellowed-outlined logo, teaser trailer, movie and character posters, might mean, especially with Luke Skywalker says in the trailer, "I only know one truth: it's time for the Jedi to end." We won't know until Dec, but you can tide over the excruciating wait at the Star Wars: Experience the Force Singapore festival, happening at ION Orchard on Sep 1-10.

As part of the lead up to the 10th edition of Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention (STGCC), the festival will be releasing the merchandise for The Last Jedi to kick off the global celebration of Star Wars Force Friday II. Some of the highlights include a gigantic installation of the Millennium Falcon at ION's outdoor event space and retailers who'll be putting up exclusive Star Wars paraphernalia for sale including Taiwan-based toymaker Beast Kingdom, who'll be exhibiting their 3.5-meter tall AT-ACT Walker set from the "Battle of Scarif" scene in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and a hologram of Darth Vader in Star Wars Episode V  – The Empire Strikes Back.

ION will also host Southeast Asia's first Padawan Training sessions where participants will learn the ways of the Force and how to work a lightsaber. We're not too keen on this because we're still getting over what Anakin Skywalker a.k.a. Darth Vader a.k.a. Darth Sidious' apprentice did to those kids in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith even though it wasn't explicitly shown (we can all infer, right?); but also because these sessions are only for kids aged between 4-12.

But it doesn't end just there. The festival will culminate with an exclusive zone at STGCC that has been demarcated for all things Star Wars. Here, fans and geeks alike will be able to check out a replica of Kylo Ren's TIE Silence from the upcoming film, also a first in Southeast Asia, and Rey's Speeder, which has been signed by J.J. Abrams himself. You can also walk through the film replica of the Millennium Falcon's interior.
