RealRyder at Pure Fitness (Ocean Financial Centre)

Head over to the new Pure Fitness outlet at Ocean Financial Centre and take a spin with their RealRyder, a cycling machine that provides a more dynamic, functional and realistic experience thanks to its special frame that allows it to move side-to-side, like an outdoor bike. Jan 23

Part of Singapore Art Week, Fantasy Islands is an exhibition, curated by Kin Chui and Mitha Budhyarto, comprising work seven artists from Indonesia and Singapore, looking at the manifold relations between Batam and Singapore. Through Jan 26

Still not ready for CNY yet? There's still time. Head down to the annual Festive Street Bazaar in Chinatown where all five streets that make up the district will host 440 stalls selling festive delicacies and traditional goodies, decorative items, traditional qipaos and changshan, and more. Visual artist Nicola Anthony works with Young Artist Award recipient Marc Nair to explore the architecture of memory of three huge cities (London, Singapore and Yangon) through artworks that reflect (and sometimes embed) Nair's poems in an exhibition called IntersectionThrough Feb 11

Banquet of Stories

Adding on to the burgeoning list of watering holes in Tanjong Pagar is The Wall. Housed in a gorgeous two-storey conservation shop house, The Wall provides an extensive sumiyaki menu to pair with different kinds of whiskies hailing from various parts of the world, with usual players like Balvenie and Glenlivet alongside rarer ones like the Yamazaki 50 Years. Center Pottery, EzBBQ and T&L are coming together to throw a charity bazaar at Changi General Hospital to raise funds for the hospital's HomeCare Assist Fund. There'll be live pottery demos and hands-on workshops across both days, sumptuous grilled meats to try and a curated range of skincare and haircare on sale. Jan 24-25

This fifth edition of the Singapore Biennale, titled “Atlas of Mirrors”, is showcasing 58 pieces and installations from 60 artists (10 of whom are Singaporean) and three art collectives. Through Feb 26

Prolific Burmese artist Htein Lin dives into his past as a political prisoner who was put behind bars for his pro-democracy beliefs at his exhibition, Recovering the Past. Through Mar 5

Food at Po

The Warehouse Hotel on Robertson Quay is finally open, and so is Po, the flagship restaurant in the hotel under The Lo & Behold Group. Headed by Singaporean celebrity chef Willin Low (of Wild Rocket fame), Po focuses on a Mod-Sin concept, celebrating local flavors by presenting an elegant twist on the original dishes. Jan 25

Marvel's AVENGERS S.T.A.T.I.O.N. exhibition is on display at the Science Centre. Pretend you're a recruit at The Avengers headquarters and go on a behind-the-scenes journey into the lives of Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Black Widow and Ant-Man. Through Mar 5

Calling all Harry Potter fans—if you’re in withdrawal after reading Cursed Child and Fantastic Beats, time to ooh and aah over some Harry Potter stamps, prop replicas, toys and other memorabilia from private collectors all around the world at the Singapore Philatelic Museum. Through Jun 30
