It’s been awhile since we had a short week, and boy, is it exciting. Before you go all out on the parties and Easter brunches lined up for the long weekend, start the week with a couple of fitness sessions and exhibitions. Then go gorging on award-winning dishes at the first Michelin Guide Street Food Festival and World Gourmet Summit. Once you’ve had your fill, it’s time to party on.

One of Singapore's most anticipated food festivals has returned for its 21st edition. The World Gourmet Summit will feature top notch international and local chefs who will take take center stage to create bite-sized gastronomy and degustation dinners. The Coffee Lounge at Goodwood Park Hotel may be known for its Taiwanese porridge menu, but from now till May, satisfy your love for laksa as they create six decadent and delicious renditions using homemade rempah (spice paste), other high quality ingredients and garnished with daun kesum (laksa leaves). Singapore photographers Liana Yang and Lavender Chang will be presenting Pet Me, Pet Me, Look at Me, Love Me—images exploring ideas regarding intimacy and longing, all inspired by written works. One of our favorite things to happen on public holiday eves is Zouk's iconic Mambo Jambo. Once a Wednesday staple at the old premises on Jiak Kim, the night will be filled with nothing but good vibes, synchronized dance moves and familiar tracks from yesteryears. Apr 13

THEATER
Revisit the swinging ‘60s with this sexy musical set in a nightclub on Orchard Road. Funny, bittersweet and brimming with nostalgia, Tropicana The Musical recreates Singapore from a bygone era. Apr 13-30

EXHIBITION
The photography series "Hong Kong Shop Cats" by Dutch visual artist and photographer Marcel Heijnen has garnered quite a following since 2016. This year, the exhibition will be held outside of Hong Kong for the first time, right here at Artistry. Apr 13-Jun 4

FOOD
The first-ever Siloso GrillFest is a two-weekend beachside BBQ party that brings together 20 mobile booths operated by F&B establishments from  Amara Sanctuary Resort, Wave House Sentosa, Ola Beach Club, and more. Be sure to check out the 4.5 meter-long BBQ pit, which may be the longest in Singapore, as you chow down on hearty meats and as local music acts play live. Apr 13-16, 21-23

Bandwagon Riverboat

The Bandwagon Riverboat series returns for a Good Friday special, with international and local acts like Berlin-based DJ Oblique, Bangkok-based German house producer Boris Rubin, Singapore's techno cutie pie and founder of Headquarters Cats On Crack, and more. Apr 14

While techno music and big room anthems have been at the forefront of mainstream electronic music these days, Dutch DJ and producer Franky Rizardo has been sticking to his guns and making a name for himself in the realm of deep house. MARKET
One of Bangkok's most popular outdoor markets, Artbox, will be making its way to Bayfront Event Space (next to Marina Bay Sands). As its first outpost, they've teamed up with Invade to host the market across two weekends, so expect to find all the trendy clothes, drinks, food and craft stalls, along with live music and photo spots, that made it so successful in Bangkok.
