Ah Mah is coming to town

The Castella cake trend just doesn’t seem to want to die. Less than a month after the opening of its fourth outlet in Paya Lebar, Malaysian Castella cake brand Ah Mah Homemade Cake is opening its sixth outlet in Plaza Singapura—marking its first ever store in central Singapore.

Considering how the brand’s first store in Singapore was opened just two months ago in mid July, it’s safe to say Ah Mah is a cut-throat badass expanding faster than your waistline. Still, opening in town has to be a milestone for any brand, which is why Ah Mah is releasing an all-new flavor in conjunction with the opening. If you’ve enjoyed the fluffy egg sponge cakes, available in Original ($8) and Cheese ($11), you’ll be pleased to know that a chocolate rendition is joining the mix. The Rocky Choc Ah Mah cake has luscious dark chocolate blended into the signature cake batter, with a sprinkling of milk chocolate chips on top.

Starting Sep 14, gain easy access to Castella cakes, made extra healthy with no preservatives and coloring, in the heart of town—at #B2-45 Plaza Singapura. But brace yourself for the snaking queues that are sure to follow; the average wait time is set at around an hour.
