Whether it's a sky-high venue with stunning vistas or a cosy low-slung rooftop gem, catch enthralling sunset views and while your time away through breezy evenings at these open-air haunts.

Southbridge

Enjoy sparkly views of the CBD lights with the Singapore River in the foreground at this hidden Boat Quay rooftop joint best known for their oysters paired with Champagne. Access the building from the backdoor in the alleyway facing South Bridge Road, then head on up using the only lift there.

Aqua Luna

While most rooftop bars are found in the city center, west-siders get to enjoy unprecedented views thanks to Park Hotel Alexandra’s poolside, swim-up bar Aqua Luna. The infinity pool itself looks amazing come sundown, but peer further for views of forestry and the architectural marvel that is The Interlace. Get the Alexandra Sunset cocktail—you won’t be disappointed—to go with several servings of chicken wings.

Kinki

It’s little surprise why this bay-facing rooftop bar is always packed with the edgier after-work crowd from Raffles Place. Take in the ever-amazing views of the Marina Bay waterfront as you sip on Japanese-inspired drinks, chow down on yummy bar bites and jive to live DJ sets.

Propeller

The rooftop of Bay Hotel Singapore in Harbourfront is now put to good use with the opening of Propeller, the first rooftop bar in the area. Its beverage menu has a cocktail and wine focus and while the food and drinks are decent, the real reason to be here are the sunset views with Keppel Harbour and Sentosa as the backdrop.

Tiger’s Milk

Right atop The Club boutique hotel is this Peruvian restaurant and cocktail bar in the Ann Siang area. Its balmy and traditional pisco bar-inspired space has a dedicated ceviche menu too. All of this is complemented with music exploring the many rich and colorful textures of Latin American culture.

Loof

This laidback but chic spot is the go-to place for after-work grub and tipples for the City Hall crowd. There’s plenty of reasons to keep coming back: from their old school knick knacks shop to locally-inspired bar bites like chilli crab waffle fries and the delicious rum-based Stylo Milo cocktail.

Potato Head Singapore

The multi-concept, four-storey F&B establishment on Keong Saik may have been renamed (from Potato Head Folk) but its concepts remain the same, including the rooftop garden and tiki-style open-air bar. Perfect for post-dinner drinks after a meal at nearby Kok Sen Restaurant.

Lantern

A rooftop pool bar at the beautiful Fullerton Bay Hotel with some of the best views of Marina Bay, Lantern also has a couple of resident DJs keeping the atmosphere upbeat as you sink into a couch, sip on some Champagne and soak in the sights of Singapore often seen in postcards.

Oxwell & Co.

Gin lovers, head on up to the stairwell to Oxwell & Co.’s Hendrick’s Botanical Roof Garden for a selection of gin-based cocktails featuring flora from the bar’s very own herb garden. Check out sights of neighboring Chinatown while you’re there.

1-Altitude

Requiring no introduction, the world’s highest rooftop bar, located smack within Singapore’s CBD, boasts unparalleled panoramic views of the city. Once you’ve taken it all in, head on down to Stellar for Tajima steak dinner or Altimate to dance the rest of the night away 61 floors above.

CÉ LA VI

Complementing the restaurant and bar on the other side of the Marina Bay Sands rooftop is the equally lofty and swanky club area of CÉ LA VI. From this vantage, you get to enjoy unobstructed sights of the Singapore cityscape as you party alongside a chi chi crowd.
